Dynamic Systems Technology, Inc. is seeking a Risk Reduction Coordinator for the State Army National Guard. You will lead substance abuse and suicide prevention programs, supervise Prevention Coordinators, and deliver unit training across the state.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Social Science and 3–5 years of prevention or resiliency experience, with strong briefing skills and ability to work weekends. On-site work with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field; 3–5 years of Substance Abuse Prevention or Suicide Prevention or Resiliency experience; case management and supervisory experience.
• Strong instruction and briefing skills demonstrated with diverse audiences; ability to work a variable schedule including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee state-level Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention programs; direct and supervise Prevention Coordinators across the state.
• Conduct required substance abuse, suicide prevention, and bystander intervention training for Soldiers and units per Army regulations.
• Analyze unit risk survey data; deliver results to state points of contact with tailored risk mitigation plans.
• Manage referred Soldier cases from referral through final disposition; ensure accurate reporting in tracking databases.
• Present monthly status reports and interim progress briefings to senior command groups.
• Build relationships with community providers and maintain a state resource directory.

Position Summary

The Risk Reduction Coordinator serves as the lead subject matter expert for substance abuse and suicide prevention within the State Army National Guard. This role is responsible for overseeing the risk reduction program, supervising prevention staff, delivering critical unit training, managing case tracking systems, and advising senior military leadership on risk mitigation strategies.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership & Supervision: Oversee state-level Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention programs; direct and supervise Prevention Coordinators across the state.
• Training Delivery & Facilitation: Conduct required substance abuse, suicide prevention, and bystander intervention training for Soldiers and units in accordance with Army regulations.
• Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Analyze unit risk survey data, deliver results to state points of contact, and provide unit commanders with tailored risk mitigation plans and training recommendations.
• Case Management & Tracking: Manage referred Soldier cases from initial referral through final disposition; ensure accurate and timely reporting in official tracking databases.
• Strategic Advisory & Briefings: Serve on senior commander readiness councils and alcohol/drug intervention boards; present monthly status reports and interim progress briefings.
• Community & Resource Management: Build relationships with community-based service providers and maintain an updated state resource directory for service members.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field; plus a minimum of three to five years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resiliency; case management and supervisory experience.

Required Qualifications

Strong and professional instruction and briefing skills which demonstrate flexibility with various audiences. Ability to work a variable schedule as duties require, including some of the weekends that state units are conducting training.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with military populations, functional understanding of National Guard organization and hierarchy structure.

Schedule

Tuesday to Friday, 4x10

On site attendance required, this is not a hybrid or remote position.

Weekend availability, generally 1-2 weekends per month have requirements.

Travel: In state travel is required.
