Job summary

Dynamic Systems Technology, Inc. seeks a Risk Reduction Coordinator to lead substance abuse and suicide prevention efforts within the State Army National Guard. You will oversee program operations, supervise prevention staff, and advise senior military leadership on risk mitigation.

You will deliver training, analyze risk data, manage case tracking, and maintain community partnerships to support service members and their families across Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field.
• 3–5 years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resiliency.
• Experience in case management and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee state-level Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention programs and supervise prevention staff.
• Deliver required training for Soldiers and units per Army regulations.
• Analyze unit risk survey data and provide tailored risk mitigation plans.
• Manage referred Soldier cases from referral to disposition and document reporting.
• Present monthly status reports to senior leadership.

Position Summary The Risk Reduction Coordinator serves as the lead subject matter expert for substance abuse and suicide prevention within the State Army National Guard. This role is responsible for overseeing the risk reduction program, supervising prevention staff, delivering critical unit training, managing case tracking systems, and advising senior military leadership on risk mitigation strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Leadership & Supervision: Oversee state-level Substance Abuse and Suicide Prevention programs; direct and supervise Prevention Coordinators across the state.Training Delivery & Facilitation: Conduct required substance abuse, suicide prevention, and bystander intervention training for Soldiers and units in accordance with Army regulations.Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Analyze unit risk survey data, deliver results to state points of contact, and provide unit commanders with tailored risk mitigation plans and training recommendations.Case Management & Tracking: Manage referred Soldier cases from initial referral through final disposition; ensure accurate and timely reporting in official tracking databases.Strategic Advisory & Briefings: Serve on senior commander readiness councils and alcohol/drug intervention boards; present monthly status reports and interim progress briefings.Community & Resource Management: Build relationships with community-based service providers and maintain an updated state resource directory for service members.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science or related field; plus a minimum of three to five years of practical experience in Substance Abuse Prevention, Suicide Prevention, or Resiliency; case management and supervisory experience.Required Qualifications: Strong and professional instruction and briefing skills which demonstrate flexibility with various audiences.
