The Opportunity

The Risk Prevention Analyst is responsible for providing operational risk assessments using fraud mitigation tools, focusing on analysis, design, and AI technology related to fraud strategies, call queue creation, monitoring, support, and management. The role involves supporting external clients and internal staff on fraud detection and prevention, writing rules, creating solutions, monitoring fraud trends, and collaborating with various teams and management.

Day in the Life
  1. Coordinate the Risk Analytics team’s tasks, ensure adherence to SLAs, manage projects, and ensure quality of outputs.
  2. Stay updated on fraud trends and suggest procedural improvements.
  3. Supervise department workflow to meet standards.
  4. Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  5. Advise on sensitive issues and new product developments.
  6. Create and deliver BI reports for leadership and regulators.
  7. Work closely with clients to ensure effective fraud mitigation.
  8. Use technical knowledge to collaborate on business objectives and influence strategies.
  9. Prepare communication materials for peer review and management presentations.
  10. Gather and analyze relevant data, ensuring data quality and hygiene.
  11. Consult on fraud detection, write rules, and monitor fraud for clients.
  12. Identify risk exposures and recommend mitigation strategies.
  13. Leverage fraud prevention tools and consult with clients on risk management.
  14. Collaborate with internal teams on client advocacy and projects.
  15. Ensure risks are identified, measured, and controlled according to policies.
  16. Report risks to management and monitor within your scope.
  17. Maintain reliable attendance; some on-call and after-hours work required.
  18. Stay current with industry fraud trends.
  19. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years in the financial services industry.
  • At least 2 years in risk analytics, fraud mitigation, or related services.
  • Knowledge of payments processing systems preferred.
  • Experience with DefenseEdge, Falcon, FDWC, or FDR systems required.

Pay Range

$54,000.00 - $68,800.00, adjusted based on experience and other factors.
