Job description

Remote Visualization/Data Analyst (25-22 FESO DAF Suicide Risk Analysis Support)

Position is Contingent Upon Bid and Award.

Introduction

The 711th Human Performance Wing (711 HPW), headquartered at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio, is the first human-centric warfare wing to consolidate human performance research, education, and consultation under a single organization. Established under the AFRL, it comprises the Human Effectiveness Directorate and the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine. The Wing offers unparalleled capabilities through world-class infrastructure and a diverse workforce of military, civilian, and contractor personnel across 75 occupational specialties.

Description of Services

The contractor shall provide qualified personnel to perform tasks outlined in this PWS, supporting USAFSAM Department of Aerospace Medicine, FES, and FESO. Responsibilities include supporting embedded medical providers with evidence-based practices and real-time data analytics dashboards focused on musculoskeletal and mental health risks at the squadron level, conducting data audits, research, and evaluating program effectiveness.

Mandatory Qualifications
  • Degree in Epidemiology, Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or similar.
  • Advanced visual and data analytical skills in population health and surveillance.
  • Ability to design, conduct, and lead visual and data analyses, displaying findings effectively.
  • Proficiency in Tableau, Microsoft Office, SAS, and SAS Enterprise Guide.
  • Current STINFO and HIPAA training.
  • Capacity to learn new analytical tools like Python, R, SAS Viya, Power BI, or AI algorithms.
  • Signed NDA with the company prior to performance.
Highly Desired Qualifications

Experience with health analytics and USAF data is preferred.

Tasks
  • Coordinate with FESO’s data team for analysis and visualization of health surveillance data, developing innovative approaches to complex issues.
  • Employ tools like Tableau, SAS Viya, and Power BI to analyze datasets and create visual representations to identify patterns and generate insights.
  • Assist in data collection and management of health information data, personnel records, and other military data.
  • Draft reports and presentations on study status and visual analyses.
  • Update and generate data visuals for the IOS Dashboard to help track health risks and measures of success.
  • Present findings through briefings, reports, and publications.
  • Apply scientific knowledge to analyze and resolve complex issues, collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Assist in teaching the IOS course and provide consultation support as needed.
Base Support

Support includes office/laboratory space, equipment, supplies, and access to necessary software and hardware, complying with DoD policies. Support may be on-site or off-site, with the contractor responsible for providing personnel and equipment as required.

Additional Information

Work will be at WPAFB or remotely, starting 25 July 2025. Work hours are typically Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM, with flexibility for after-hours support. US citizenship is required; travel may be necessary with prior approval. All personnel require a Tier 1 background check and OPSEC training. Security measures include encryption and restricted access to sensitive data. Deliverables include monthly status reports and scientific reports, with all data owned by 711 HPW/RH.
