Job summary

Stripe is seeking an Engineering Program Manager to lead a high-performing team within the Risk Operations Technology Enablement group. You will shape the technical strategy across Risk, partnering with Engineering, Product, and Operations to deliver critical infrastructure and tooling improvements.

In this role you will coach program managers, drive cross-functional roadmaps, and ensure execution while embedding Stripe's user-centric and transparent culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing program managers who lead complex, cross-functional technical programs.
• Experience partnering directly with product and engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle and/or go-to-market.
• Sufficient technical proficiency to clarify architecture, trade-offs, dependencies, and risks.
• Excellent analytical skills; you digest complex information and make recommendations.
• Very strong written and verbal communication skills, building relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders.

Responsibilities

• Shape and drive alignment on Risk Operations' technical strategy that enables ambitious goals.
• Partners cross-functionally across Risk (eng, product, operations) to set and execute against the technical roadmap.
• Coach a team of engineering program managers to lead technical programs with vision and high standards; include hiring when relevant.
• Occasionally personally drive a small number of the most critical technical programs when strategic importance requires direct executive influence.
• Evolve the team structure, strategy, functions, and roles to meet Stripe's evolving business needs.
• Transmit and foster Stripe's values, including user-centric philosophy and culture of transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment.
