Job summary

CVS Health in Washington, DC is seeking a detail-oriented Risk Management Analyst to support the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program across quantitative risk analysis, regulatory deliverables, and model maintenance.

You will work with ERM leaders to enhance models, perform data cleansing, and produce auditable documentation, using SQL, Excel, and Python or R as needed, while communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Foundational experience with quantitative analysis, financial or statistical modeling, or complex analytical coursework or projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with working knowledge of SQL and VBA.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy, completeness, data integrity, and documentation.
• Ability to learn complex quantitative models and build subject-matter expertise over time.
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to ask questions, identify issues, and take ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep understanding of quantitative risk models, including data flows and business context.
• Support enterprise economic capital models and risk-quantification tools by investigating changes and testing results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect data and translate business info into quantitative analysis.
• Prepare and analyze complex datasets through profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.
• Use SQL, Excel, and VBA, and when applicable R or Python, to extract data, perform analysis, and automate reporting.
• Maintain auditable documentation of data sources, rules, models, and governance activities.
• Support stress-scenario development and enterprise risk quantification.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and communicate technical concepts clearly.
• Take ownership of assignments and identify opportunities to improve data quality and processes.
