Job summary

CRL Technologies in Patuxent River, MD is seeking a Risk Management Specialist for a DoD program requiring a Final DoD Top Secret clearance. This on-site role does not offer telework; relocation assistance may be provided.

You will develop risk management strategy, maintain a risk database, track risks, submit reports to leadership, and implement DoD RM Guide–compliant tools and policies. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least four years of relevant experience; travel 5–10%.

This position does not provide a telework option. Candidate must be willing to work on-site in Patuxent River, MD.

CRL provides a signing bonus and potential relocation assistance for this position.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide overall risk management support to an advanced research and development program. Specifically, develop the risk management strategy for documenting the risk management process within the organization. Develop and maintain a risk management database and actively track risks throughout the program. Submit risk reports to support program leadership decision points and program level meetings/briefings. Develop, implement, and document the application of risk metrics and prepare accurate, thorough, and complete risk reports. Represent the Risk Management Program at leadership meetings, conduct workshops, and hold one-on-one meetings to actively assist in risk tracking and mitigation. Implement a risk assessment board, risk tools, practices and policies to management risk to the greatest extent practical.

The candidate shall support the Risk Management process as delineated in the DoD Risk Management Guide for Defense Acquisition Programs. Support program management with communication to stakeholders, via presentations, briefings, the customer’s process for managing the program’s risks, issues, and opportunities.

Required Education:

High School Diploma or GED.

Required Experience:

• Candidate must have at least four (4) years of relevant experience.

Desired Experience:

• Candidate should be proficient in all Microsoft Office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and have experience with Adobe Acrobat and share point style file sharing systems.
• Candidate should have demonstrated outstanding oral and written communication skills.
• Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and complex security environment. Special Access Program experience is a plus.

Allowable Experience/Education Substitutions:

Experience cannot be substituted for education.

Security Clearance Required:

A Final DoD Top Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:

$80,000-$135,000. Salary will be set based on experience, education, and contractual requirements. This range represents the standard pay for this role and is just one component of CRL's compensation package.
