AdventHealth currently seeks a Risk Management professional to support lawsuits, claims, and Potential Compensable Events (PCEs), reviewing medical records and coordinating with external attorneys. The role includes securing documents, managing discovery, and supporting risk-reduction initiatives across multiple facilities.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s in a healthcare field and 2+ years in risk management, with CPHRM preferred.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare-related field or equivalent.
• 2+ years of risk management, quality and patient safety experience.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred)

Responsabilidades

• Provides support to AdventHealth Corporate Services Risk Management and outside attorneys for lawsuits, claims and PCEs.
• Performs medical records review, HFACS-RCA2 review and other evidence to support defense.
• Initiates the claim file, secures documents, litigation holds and manages discovery requests, interviews and deposition support.
• Coordinates efforts between the Risk Management Claims Manager and outside attorneys.
• Assists in developing risk reduction strategies for the region and grievance resolution processes.
• Leads annual initiatives to reduce claims costs for hospitals and clinics.
• Oversees RMIS guidelines and access to the system for regional reviewers.
• Coordinates with Corporate Services Risk Management to procure and maintain insurance coverage and issue Certificates of Coverage.
• Assists facilities in crisis intervention on serious risk incidents and provides guidance.
• Provides updates to Quality teams on open claims and lawsuits.
• Provides backup to the Director for PSQIA compliance and education across the region.
