Job summary

LCS is offering a Risk Management Internship in Des Moines, IA for a full-time 12-week summer program from May through August. You will work on real projects, interact with leaders, and present outcomes to senior leadership.

The program emphasizes mentorship, professional development, and broad exposure to the organization and its operations. We seek students in Business/Operations/Risk Management with strong MS Excel skills, attention to detail, and good communication.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program majoring in Business, Operations, Risk Management or related field.
• Strong background in MS Excel, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Course work or experience in environmental, health, and safety is desirable. This would allow the candidate to better understand issues related to Life Safety, OSHA, risk management and risk mitigation

Responsibilities

• Contribute to real projects that will be implemented within the organization
• Collaborate with leaders and team members across departments
• Participate in professional development and networking opportunities
• Present your project and summer experience to the senior leadership team at the conclusion of the internship
• Gain a broad understanding of our industry and operations through mentorship, training, and shadowing opportunities
