Job summary

LCS in Des Moines, Iowa, offers a full-time, 12-week HR internship from May through August. Interns gain hands-on experience by contributing to meaningful projects that have a direct impact on the business and present results to the senior leadership team.

You will support the Talent Development team, assist with conference content planning, collaborate with leaders across departments, and participate in professional development and mentorship opportunities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute to a mission-driven organization.
• Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) throughout the 12-week program.

Responsibilities

• The Human Resources intern will support the Talent Development team and receive practical, hands-on learning experiences in human resources with a goal of applying their classroom education to actual LCS projects.
• Assist with planning content for conferences by attending planning calls and participating in discussions to determine content
• Collaborate with leaders and team members across departments
• Participate in professional development and networking opportunities
• Present your project and summer experience to the senior leadership team at the conclusion of the internship
• Gain a broad understanding of our industry and operations through mentorship, training, and shadowing opportunities
