Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Summer Internship in Risk Management in New Jersey. The intern will engage with Enterprise Risk Management, assist with ONElink event reporting, and help with claims and litigation support across multiple sites within the health system.

Responsibilities include investigating events, supporting mitigation strategies, and working with insurance teams to learn about property, casualty, and professional liability matters.

Formación

• University student majoring in Risk Management or related studies.
• Proficient in Google Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
• Excellent technological skills and organizational skills.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in rounds, safety huddles, and routine meetings to understand harm and safety.
• Collaborate with leaders of Emergency Management and Risk teams to learn mitigation strategies.
• Investigate risk events in ONElink and assist with risk management education.
• Assist with processing subpoenas, recalls, and legal documents with guidance.
• Support claims processes with carriers and brokers within policy periods.
• Learn property/casualty insurance matters and analyze loss data.
• Assist with recall reports and collaborate with Purchasing on device issues.
• Represent the department on committees and participate in trainings.
• Perform independent work on special projects and day-to-day activities.
