Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health invites university students to join the Summer 2026 Internship in Enterprise Risk Management. The intern will support the safe operation of risk management functions, including ONElink event reporting, event investigations, recalls, and claims processing across the network.

The role offers exposure to insurance matters, collaboration with risk leaders, and participation in a broad range of enterprise initiatives.

Qualifications

• University student majoring in Risk Management or related studies.
• Proficient in Google Suite.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of legal and medical terminology.
• Excellent technological skills and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Participates in risk management activities and supports event reporting.
• Assists with event investigations and claims processes.
• Supports recall reports and collaboration with Purchasing and departments.
• Learns mitigation strategies and risk education initiatives.
• Assists with subpoenas, summonses and legal research as needed.
• Represents the ERM team on committees as assigned.
• Supports daily operations and interdisciplinary projects within ERM.
