Job summary

Carson Group seeks two Risk Management Interns to support enterprise risk infrastructure across the firm. You will own defined workstreams, interact with business leaders, and produce deliverables used by Legal, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and operations.

The role focuses on policy documentation, Risk and Control Matrix development, and gap identification within a standardized governance framework. Based in Omaha, part-time 30–40 hrs/week; 25+ hrs for others during business hours.

Qualifications

• Interest in financial services or enterprise risk management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Document and standardize policies, procedures, and process flows across business units.
• Develop and enhance Risk and Control Matrices aligned to the enterprise risk register.
• Identify and document policy, procedure, and control gaps across functions.
• Draft and structure risk statements using root-cause methodology.
• Support control design and documentation using a standardized control framework.
• Translate business processes into risk-aligned workflows and structured documentation.
• Support change management and version control for new and updated policies.
• Build and maintain documentation within SharePoint and centralized repositories.
• Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, and Cybersecurity.
