What you'll do:
  1. 40% - Respond to inquiries from policyholders and departments regarding professional liability risks, ensuring timely and effective resolutions, and referring complex issues to appropriate parties.
  2. 30% - Manage action plans based on claims data and trends to develop loss mitigation programs and risk management content for marketing and communication.
  3. 15% - Collaborate with marketing, claims, and the medical board in executing and evaluating the Annual Baseline Self-Assessment (ABSA).
  4. 10% - Support claims, retention, business development, underwriting, and marketing teams in serving insureds and professional organizations.
  5. 5% - Perform other duties, including staying current on laws and regulations affecting risk management.
  6. - Leverage expertise in malpractice insurance to provide a competitive advantage.
  7. - Demonstrate leadership and professionalism while maintaining confidentiality.
  8. - Support management initiatives through actions and communication.
  9. - Contribute to risk management budget development and monitoring.
  10. - Travel up to 20%, including overnight stays.
What we're looking for:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, nursing, or a healthcare-related field.
  2. Clinical background with credentials such as RN or LPN.
  3. At least five years of risk management experience in healthcare.
  4. Risk management certification preferred; knowledge in quality improvement and patient safety required.
