Job summary

Dow Jones Risk Journal is seeking a multimedia producer to create and edit video, audio and data-driven content for risk, compliance and legal audiences.

You will collaborate with reporters and editors to publish multimedia assets, develop stand-alone data graphics, and craft engaging headlines and metadata for web and mobile. This role fits a fast-paced newsroom with a startup culture and strong emphasis on accuracy and storytelling.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional experience in multimedia production or digital journalism.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro, familiarity with After Effects, and experience with DAWs such as Logic Pro and Descript.
• Ability to create clear, accurate data visualizations and graphics.
• Strong news judgment and creative storytelling skills.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Perform video editing, including lower thirds and motion graphics for daily stories and features.
• Create data-driven graphics for articles and standalone data stories.
• Perform audio editing and production to support the Risk Journal Podcast.
• Publish multimedia content using content management tools and craft headlines and metadata.
• Collaborate with reporters/editors to produce data-driven graphical content.
• Uphold Dow Jones standards, ethics and journalistic integrity.
• Be part of a newsroom with startup culture and ambitious goals.
