Job summary

PLATA is seeking a Risk Data Analyst to join the Integrated Risk Management team. You will own credit risk management, build forecasting and risk models, and implement a comprehensive framework across the portfolio.

The role involves analyzing CNBV/Banxico and Basel/IFRS frameworks to align PLATA processes with best practices and communicating insights through compelling visuals. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in risk/data analysis, strong SQL/Python skills, and experience with

Qualifications

• 3+ years in risk and data analysis, preferably in credit organizations or consultancy
• Bachelor’s in STEM, finance, or economics; Master’s preferred
• Strong analytical and quantitative abilities; experience in statistical analysis
• Proficiency in SQL and Python (R also helpful); knowledge of Tableau/Apache Superset and Excel
• Self-starter who can work independently and in a team; fast-paced environment
• Excellent presentation and communication skills for non-technical audiences
• English level B1+ for international collaboration

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of credit risk management as a key domain and oversee credit, liquidity, FX, and strategic risks as 2nd line of defense
• Accurately calculate unit economics of credit products and identify risk drivers for strategic decisions
• Develop, implement, and automate a comprehensive risk management framework
• Analyze frameworks (CNBV, Banxico, Basel, IFRS) and apply best practices to PLATA processes
• Evaluate internal and external data to identify threats; build econometric models to predict portfolio dynamics
• Create effective data visualizations and presentations to communicate findings and drive actions
