Job summary

Sentry in Stevens Point, Wisconsin, invites applications for a Risk Control/Occupational Safety Internship in Summer 2027. You will work with mentors to learn risk control and safety services, conduct safety walkthroughs, and prepare technical reports across multiple insurance lines.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Minimum in-major GPA of 3.00 is required.
• Expected graduation date of May 2028.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Partner with experienced safety consultants across multiple Sentry business units to learn the ropes of risk control.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and facility inspections across diverse industries.
• Prepare technical reports and develop actionable recommendations to help customers minimize safety exposures.
• Gain exposure to evaluating lines of insurance risk (property, workers’ compensation, liability, auto).
• Collaborate with sales associates to consult with customers on safety principles.
