Job summary

Ahern offers a structured, hands-on Safety Specialist Intern position in Milwaukee, WI, beginning around May and lasting through August. You’ll work closely with the safety team and business units, gaining exposure to risk analysis, field visits, and safety software.

You should be pursuing a health and safety or industrial hygiene degree, with on-point MS Word/Excel skills, and a proactive, quick-learning mindset. An internship with relocation support is provided.

Qualifications

• Candidates should currently be pursuing a degree in health and safety or industrial hygiene.
• Candidates should be knowledgeable of MS Word & Excel.
• Candidates should be self-motivated, people focused and able to grasp information quickly.

Responsibilities

• Engage in task risk analysis in a construction and manufacturing environment.
• Perform industrial hygiene sampling and safety practice reviews.
• Analyze and trend data and visit field projects; work with VelocityEHS safety software.
