Job summary

Sentry in Stevens Point, WI is offering an Occupational Safety internship designed to give you hands-on safety experience and mentorship from seasoned consultants.

You will conduct facility inspections, prepare technical reports, and work with sales teams to advise customers on safety best practices across diverse industries.

The program features a hybrid schedule (remote Mondays and Fridays, in-office Tue–Thu) with housing and meal stipends where available; graduation in May 2028 is expected.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Minimum in-major GPA of 3.00.
• Expected graduation date of May 2028.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Clear MVR and background check.
• Sentry does not offer employment in this position to holders of F-1, J-1, and H-1 Visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience.

• Conduct safety walkthroughs and facility inspections across diverse industries, including property, workers compensation, liability, auto, and others.
• Prepare technical reports and develop actionable recommendations to help customers minimize safety exposures.
• Gain deep exposure to evaluating different lines of insurance risk, including property, workers’ compensation, liability, and auto.
• Team up with sales associates to consult directly with customers on the principles that keep workplaces safe.

To be considered for this position, the following criteria are necessary:

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
