Job summary

Sentry Insurance seeks a Safety Services Intern in Stevens Point, WI, to gain hands-on experience in Risk Control and Occupational Safety under a mentor. You’ll learn how safety drives risk reduction and business success while networking with leadership at company events.

You’ll partner with safety consultants, conduct walkthroughs across industries, prepare reports, and develop recommendations to minimize exposures.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
• Obtain a minimum in‑major GPA of 3.00
• Expected graduation date of May 2028

Responsibilities

• Partner with experienced safety consultants across multiple Sentry business units to learn the ropes of risk control.
• Conduct safety walkthroughs and facility inspections across diverse industries, including property, workers compensation, liability, auto, and others.
• Prepare technical reports and develop actionable recommendations to help customers minimize safety exposures.
• Gain deep exposure to evaluating different lines of insurance risk, including property, workers’ compensation, liability, and auto.
• Team up with sales associates to consult directly with customers on the principles that keep workplaces safe.
