Risk Consultant - Machinery Breakdown

USA - Southwest region. Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado

AXA XL Risk Consulting is looking for a Machinery Breakdown Risk Consultant who will conduct site visits for customers and will collaborate with internal teams to deliver consistent engineering loss prevention and machinery breakdown risk assessment.

What you’ll be doing

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Conduct loss prevention surveys focused on Machinery Breakdown perils and produce written reports with loss scenario estimates and recommendations.
2. Utilize internal and external tools and resources to evaluate risk quality at site level and communicate this evaluation to internal teams clearly and concisely. Work with the network of AXA XL Risk Consultants to deliver loss prevention services to customers.
3. Collaborate with multiple Lines of Business to review complex risks and deliver best risk control solutions.
4. Work directly with clients to improve their machinery breakdown risk profile. Create customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk control services.
5. This role will service U.S. territories. Work remotely much of the time with office meetings and other client-facing presentations as required. Travel is anticipated at 30%.

What you’ll bring

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent. National Board Certification is a plus.
• Beginner to intermediate level of relevant Machinery Breakdown risk assessment or loss prevention experience. Understanding of basic risk management and underwriting concepts preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment reliability and standards. Experience in Mining and Cement Industries is a plus.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences. Ability to influence and make sound assessments.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage schedule and resources independently. Comfortable working remotely.
• Ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external partners on projects and industry initiatives.

The U.S. base salary range is $83,500 to $145,500 USD, with actual pay based on skills, experience, and location. We offer comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, retirement, and professional development opportunities.
