Risk Consultant - Machinery Breakdown

Location: USA - Southwest region (Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado)

We provide worldwide capacity for various exposures, experienced underwriting, dedicated loss prevention services, and a team-based account management approach focused on understanding each client's needs. We are seeking a Machinery Breakdown Risk Consultant to conduct site visits and collaborate with internal teams for engineering loss prevention and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct loss prevention surveys on Machinery Breakdown perils, producing reports with loss scenario estimates and recommendations.
• Use internal and external tools to evaluate risk quality at the site and communicate findings clearly to internal teams. Work with AXA XL Risk Consultants to provide loss prevention services.
• Collaborate across lines of business to review complex risks and develop optimal risk control solutions.
• Engage directly with clients to improve their machinery breakdown risk profile and demonstrate the value of risk control services.
• This role services U.S. territories, primarily remote work with office meetings and client presentations. Travel is expected to be around 30%.

Reporting to the Machinery Breakdown Transversal Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent; National Board Certification is a plus.
• Beginner to intermediate experience in Machinery Breakdown risk assessment or loss prevention; understanding of risk management and underwriting concepts is preferred.
• Knowledge of equipment reliability and standards; experience in Mining or Cement industries is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of explaining technical information to diverse audiences.
• Self-motivated, able to manage schedules and resources independently, especially in a remote environment.
• Team player, proactive, and able to work effectively across functions and with partners.

The U.S. salary range for this position is $83,500 to $145,500 USD, with actual pay determined by skills, experience, and location.
