Job summary

Proof, a fast-growing legal tech startup, seeks a Risk & Compliance Specialist in Michigan to help review cases, gather evidence, and apply enforcement actions while maintaining accurate compliance records. The role communicates with users and partners across the company.

You’ll follow documented processes, manage high-volume cases, escalate when needed, and contribute to cross-functional initiatives to strengthen platform integrity and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in risk and compliance, trust and safety, operations, or contractor management.
• Structured case reviews, including triage, evidence gathering, clear documentation, and sound enforcement judgment.
• Familiarity with compliance documentation, credentialing, and eligibility workflows.
• Comfortable with data and business intelligence tools; SQL proficiency is a plus.
• Strong organizational and time management skills for managing high volumes of cases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including drafting user-facing communications.

Responsibilities

• Review and prioritize incoming cases and take action based on evidence.
• Gather and document evidence via calls, texts, or emails.
• Follow procedures to handle standard cases independently and escalate high-stakes situations.
• Monitor accounts under review and record new findings regularly.
• Execute compliance actions and alert stakeholders as needed.
• Handle escalation calls and clearly communicate resolutions.
