Job summary

Oscar Health is hiring an Associate, Risk / Compliance to join our Compliance team in New York City. The role ensures adherence to industry standards and laws, reviews practices, and develops procedures. This position reports to the Manager, Regulatory Operations and supports audits with regulators.

This hybrid role requires 3 in-office days per week, with Thursday mandatory. Base pay ranges from $96,876 to $127,149 per year, plus benefits, unlimited vacation, and annual bonuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field.
• At least 1 year in health plan compliance.
• At least 2 years with State DOI health insurance rules and CMS ACA requirements.
• Experience managing high-volume, complex projects and delivering on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Partner with departments to ensure current compliance levels.
• Provide training on regulatory compliance.
• Ensure team awareness of procedures to follow compliance requirements.
• Develop and implement compliance improvement plans.
• Delegate tasks to other departments to raise compliance levels.
• Develop reports to the governing body.
• Assist regulators with site visits and external audits.
• Prepare for and conduct audits with external authorities.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance.
• Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Other duties as assigned.
