Job summary

The Save Mart Companies is seeking a Risk Management Specialist to implement, monitor, and train employees on risk initiatives. This role partners with the Director of Risk Management to evaluate programs, manage workers’ compensation and general liability claims, and work with vendors to mitigate costs.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with data-driven approach.
• Knowledge of return-to-work processes and ADA implications.
• Experience with case management systems related to workers’ comp.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and coordinate training on claims processes, policies and programs.
• Monitor data to identify heightened risks and develop remediation recommendations.
• Communicate regularly with employees and management about self-insured claims programs.
• Develop and update insurance claim procedures and reference materials.
• Liaise with claim examiners and field locations for investigations.
• Maintain training library and discovery-related materials.
• Assist with the return-to-work program and data reporting for HR/Legal leadership.
• Support renewal and budgeting efforts for risk programs.
