Job summary

The City of Marietta is seeking a Risk Coordinator to provide administrative, operational, and logistical support for the Risk Management Division. You will assist with property and casualty and Workers’ Compensation claims management, ADA compliance, safety trainings, and related regulatory tasks.

The role acts as the first contact for visitors and calls in the Human Resources and Risk Management Department, greeting guests and directing inquiries.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required.
• At least 3 years of relevant administrative experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and videoconferencing tools (MS Teams, Zoom).
• Strong written and verbal English and basic math.
• Knowledge of project management concepts and techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently, multitask, maintain confidentiality.
• Good composition and editing skills.
• Notary public may be required at city expense.

Responsibilities

• Property & Casualty and Workers’ Compensation claims support, including reporting and processing invoices.
• Assist WC-1 filings and monitor return-to-work processes for injured employees.
• Provide administrative support for ADA compliance, renewals, trainings, and safety programs.
• Maintain records, respond to open records requests, and manage policy documentation.
• Serve as receptionist and primary contact for staff and external stakeholders.
• Monitor supplies, process invoices, and support budget reconciliation.
