Apex Systems is seeking a Cybersecurity Risk & Strategy Advisor/Analyst to support a government client in Alexandria, VA. The role focuses on cybersecurity governance, risk management, and strategic policy execution, serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and delivering executive-facing materials.

Responsibilities include risk assessments, policy development, briefings to senior officials, and cross-stakeholder coordination across a complex DoD environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Information Assurance, Public Policy, Business, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience supporting Federal Government or DoD programs.
• Experience conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and analyzing cybersecurity risks.
• Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity programs, governance structures, and policy environments.
• Experience developing executive-level communications, including memos, briefings, white papers, and leadership correspondence.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience briefing senior leaders, executives, and key stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.

• Support cybersecurity program planning, governance activities, and strategic efforts across a complex DoD environment.
• Provide guidance on ICT-SCRM/C-SCRM principles, policies, and best practices.
• Analyze cybersecurity policies, directives, frameworks, and standards to assess organizational impacts and recommend actions.
• Support executive staffing actions, task management, and coordination activities for senior leaders.
• Collaborate with government and contractor stakeholders to resolve issues, track actions, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Project Details / Mission Supported:

We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Risk & Strategy Advisor/Analyst to support Federal Government and Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives focused on cybersecurity governance, risk management, and strategic policy execution. This role serves as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing cybersecurity risk assessments, executive-level communications, and strategic recommendations that inform organizational decision-making.

• Collaborate with government and contractor stakeholders to resolve issues, track actions, and ensure timely completion of deliverables.

Required Qualifications

Clearance Level: Top Secret

Salary/Pay range: $60-65/hr
