This role is remote with a flexible schedule, typically 8 hours per day starting at 8am. As a Risk & Insurance Consultant, you will handle complex claims across various coverage lines, including investigations, carrier reporting, and collaboration to resolve claims. You will also oversee claims functions such as payment audits, claim reviews, and working with our third-party administrator. Experience with a Risk Management Information System (RIMS) like Riskonnect or Origami is a plus.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position provides guidance on risk evaluation, transfer, and financing to protect organizational assets. Acts as an advisor on decision-making, risk mitigation, insurance policies, and claim investigations. Responsible for handling complex claims, overseeing submission of claim information across coverage lines, and managing investigations and collaboration with insurers. Also performs claims oversight functions such as payment audits and claim reviews, ensuring all payments and expenses are properly coded, within scope, and within budget. Assists in designing insurance programs to minimize financial impact, covering property, auto, liability, workers' compensation, fiduciary, builders' risk, and environmental coverage. Collaborates with insurance brokers, risk management consultants, and other stakeholders.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in management or business required.
• Seven or more years of relevant experience, particularly with claims, risk finance, and commercial insurance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication skills, and experience with patient and customer interactions, investigations, and data analysis.
• Self-directed with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and change management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's Degree in business or Insurance preferred.
• ARM or CPCU certifications preferred.
• Experience with brokers or insurance companies preferred.
