Job summary

KPMG LLP seeks an Advisory Intern for the Advisory practice in the U.S. You will support risk management engagements, develop and validate risk models, and analyze large datasets to generate actionable insights.

You will work across Excel/SQL/R/Python, contribute to regulatory reporting, and apply AI techniques to interpret data and improve processes. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited college/university with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Strong understanding of capital markets, banking and accounting.
• Fluency with AI concepts and tools (OpenAI, Anthropic, LLMs).

Responsibilities

• Support client engagements focused on financial risk management and model evaluation.
• Develop, test, validate and document financial and risk models.
• Analyze large datasets using Excel/SQL/R/Python to generate insights and dashboards.
• Assist in development and production of management, board and regulatory reporting.
• Document risk policies and governance frameworks to support compliance.
• Utilize AI tools to interpret large data sets and challenge outputs.
