Job summary

KPMG LLP is seeking an Advisory Intern for our Advisory practice in the United States. The role involves data gathering and analyses to support investigations, with exposure to AML/KYC processes and risk assessments for FinTech clients.

You will work on identifying internal controls, performing analytical reviews, and helping prepare client-facing deliverables using MS Office and data tools. Summer 2027 start, with flexible location within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college/university pursuing Accounting (Bachelor/Master).
• Working toward CPA licensure at the principal office state.
• Additional academic credits required after internship for CPA eligibility.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Fluent AI concepts and data-analysis skills for problem solving and communication.
• Familiarity with SAS, R, Python, SQL, Tableau; MATLAB/Stata a plus.
• Strong technical/business acumen and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Identify and analyze data to support investigations of accounting irregularities.
• Perform financial analyses for regulatory disputes and damages quantification.
• Support AML/KYC reviews and sanctions program assessments for FinTech clients.
• Identify internal controls and conduct cyclical testing with IT linkage reviews.
• Conduct analyses on fraud, forensics, and supply chain risks using data tools.
• Collect information via system queries and stakeholder interviews, with senior support.
• Assist in drafting reports and presentations for client leadership.
