Job summary

Janney is seeking a risk management professional to join our Philadelphia team. The role focuses on oversight of securities lending, operations and controls, and vendor risk management while collaborating with departments across the firm.

The candidate should have a four-year degree (or equivalent), 3+ years in financial services, and strong analytical and communication skills to support senior leadership and auditors. On-site presence three days per week in Philadelphia.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree preferred, or equivalent industry experience required.
• Over three years of work experience in financial services preferred.
• Critical thinking skills, able to analyze scenarios and communicate the results effectively.
• Team player with initiative and ability to execute with minimal direction.
• Professional with relationship-building skills across business lines.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Excel is required.
• Knowledge of SQL and Capital Markets trading platforms would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Distribute daily Fixed Income risk reports to monitor inventory levels and hedging strategy.
• Coordinate and manage vendor due diligence and onboarding processes.
• Preserve and monitor the framework for securities lending risk.
• Research counterparties and establish credit limits during onboarding.
• Evaluate counterparty financial stability and adjust limits accordingly.
• Create hypothetical scenarios to assess exposure and review collateral obligations.
• Monitor contract differences, concentration thresholds and limit breaches.
• Report deviations to senior management and compile weekly presentations.
• Interface with auditors to evaluate the control environment.
• Prepare and manage annual Compliance Report for CFO certification.
• Collaborate with Trading, Compliance, Operations, IT and Finance to meet regulatory obligations.
• Develop and implement AI use cases to drive efficiency.
