We provide innovative insurance products and effective loss reduction strategies, tailored to meet both current and future challenges. Our solutions include Guaranteed Cost Policies, Deductible Policies, Retrospective Rating Policies, Excess / Self Insurance, and Captive Options, all designed to align with each employer's unique risk profile and appetite. By leveraging deep analytics and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders, we deliver unparalleled service and creative solutions that distinguish us in the industry.

ABOUT THE ROLE :

This role offers a unique opportunity to directly impact business results through accurate pricing, timely renewals, and efficient underwriting operations. You'll collaborate across teams—working with underwriters, producers, agents, and internal departments—gaining broad exposure and building strong relationships. With ownership over key processes like compliance documentation and renewal management, you'll have the autonomy to lead and make meaningful decisions. The fast-paced, ever-changing environment keeps the work dynamic and engaging, while our client-focused culture ensures your contributions are valued and your work has purpose.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT :

  • Apply pricing models and underwriting tools to ensure accurate risk selection and appropriate pricing.
  • Clearly communicate the rationale behind underwriting decisions to internal stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Manage renewal accounts in a timely and accurate manner by gathering and reviewing all necessary information, completing Account Performance Reviews, and working with Underwriters to determine renewal status.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with agents, internal teams, and clients to support high levels of service and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with producers to obtain essential renewal information and stay informed about marketing dynamics impacting accounts.
  • Respond to host client, class code addition, and endorsement requests within 24 hours, escalating non-approved class codes and maintaining open communication with agencies on request status.
  • Ensure complete, compliant, and clearly documented records to support audit readiness, transparency, and consistency in underwriting decisions.

WHO YOU ARE :

  • Minimum 2 years of insurance experience
  • 2+ years of workers compensation insurance experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and organization skills
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient using computer applications including Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable using internet / online based software

BENEFITS :

  • Remote Workplace : Enjoy the ability to work from home or hybrid if you live close to our Charlotte, NC office!
  • Competitive Salary & Growth : Join a team that thrives on leadership, initiative, creativity, and passion, with a salary that matches your drive.
  • Time off & Holidays : 3 weeks of vacation and 13 paid holidays to recharge and relax
  • Health & Wellness : We reimburse up to $25 a month for gym memberships
  • 401(k) Savings : We match up to 6% of your contribution
  • Excellent Health Benefits : Vision + Dental are 100% covered by Prescient and we contribute 80% of medical coverage premiums
  • FSA Healthcare and Dependent Care : Flexible Spending Accounts to support your healthcare needs.
  • Employee referral bonuses, Tuition assistance & MORE!
