Responsibilities

• Firm Research – about 60% of the time researching law firms using internal performance data, firm location, size, and staff; leveraging AI tools to compare contacts and determine current firm affiliations.
• Completing Risk Evaluation – about 20% of the time, prepare a written executive summary highlighting changes since last evaluation and recommend future engagement with the firm.
• Special Projects – collaborate with Risk and Portfolio Management on projects related to Structured Finance, including securitizations and warehouse lending.

JOB SUMMARY

The Risk Analyst's mission is to help the Company maintain and grow its portfolio of law firm relationships. Because not all law firms present the same level of opportunity or risk, the Risk Analyst is responsible for evaluating both new and existing firms. The review process will vary based on factors such as firm size, the depth of our relationship history, geographic location, lead sources, and other relevant considerations. This analysis is used to develop and update law firm risk rankings, which help guide how the Company allocates its time, resources, and relationship management efforts.

• Strong written communication skills with the ability to summarize findings in concise executive summaries;

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Firm Research- approximately 60% of the time will be spent on researching law firms utilizing a variety of data sources, including:Internal performance data (leads, originations, collections, write-offs),firm location, specialty, size - utilizing AI solutions to research the law firms, andfirm staff - compare existing contacts for the firm to see if they are still at the firm or if they have moved to another location
• Completing Risk Evaluation - approximately 20% of the time, after completing firm research, the Risk Analyst will prepare a written executive summary summarizing changes in the firm’s performance since the last evaluation, notating anything new that the analyst learned about the firm, and most importantly, making a recommendation about future engagement with the firm.
• Special Projects - working closely with the Risk and Portfolio Management team, you will have an opportunity to work on projects that will further expand your knowledge as it relates to Structured Finance (Securitizations, Warehouse lending, and Rating Agencies)
