Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of clinic or hospital experience and/or managed care experience.
• AAPC certifications in Risk Adjustment Coder, Professional Coder, and Medical Auditor preferred.
• CPMA certification must be obtained within 1 year of Hire.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ICD-10-CM codes and CMS documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of risk coding and other team professionals with pre- and post-visit review analysis.
• Coordinate coding projects within the CIN organization to meet goals.
• Educate clinical providers on proper documentation, coding guidelines and compliance.
