Job summary

WSP is seeking an Early Career Structural Engineer to join our Irvine, CA office. You will work with the Structural Engineering Team on design, analysis, and documentation for buildings across the United States.

The role emphasizes growth through advanced training in structural design, BIM software, and collaboration with global colleagues in various practice area networks. Travel may be project dependent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in structural or civil engineering or closely related discipline.
• 0–1 year of relevant post-education experience.
• Excellent research skills with analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with design/build processes and related codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design of new buildings and restoration of existing buildings across the United States.
• Analyze and design superstructures and foundations in timber, concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Utilize latest technology and digital design tools for design and documentation.
• Generate accurate documentation using 2D/3D drawings and electronic systems.
• Ensure safety and adherence to project and site procedures.
