Job summary

ARCO Companies in Riverside, Missouri, seeks a Project Manager Co-op for Spring/Summer 2027 to support estimating, scheduling, design meetings, and buyout activities. This 6–8 month, full-time internship offers hands-on experience and a pathway to a full-time role.

As a Co-op, you will assist with job-site visits, set up project timelines, and engage in permitting and submittal reviews, gaining exposure to the design-build process while working with project managers and owners.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
• Previous internship or Co-op construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describing project proposals and assigning dollar values to the projects
• Scheduling – creating a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time
• Design meetings – attend design meetings with owner and team
• Buyout – send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; receive and evaluate proposals and award subcontracts
• Permitting – fill out permit forms and submit with drawings and fees
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Review – review submittals and coordinate with PMs
• Billing – subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications
• Job Site Visits – visit job site with PM to ensure smooth progress
