Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Construction Project Manager Co-op for Summer/Fall 2027 in Southfield, MI. You will support Project Managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, submittal reviews, billing, and site visits.

This paid 6–8 month internship offers housing stipend, end-of-term bonus, a path to full-time, and direct access to leaders. You will gain real-world experience and contribute to active design-build projects.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management bachelor’s program.
• GPA at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
• Previous internship or co-op in construction preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating project values.
• Create working timelines for subcontractors to meet deadlines.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team.
• Send bid instructions and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
• Assist with permitting processes and documentation.
• Review shop drawings and submittals with PM.
• Support billing: subcontracts, change orders, pay requests.
• Visit job sites with PM to monitor progress.
