Job summary

ARCO Companies in Riverside, MO, is seeking a Construction Project Manager Co-op for Summer/Fall 2027. The role runs 6–8 months full-time, with a semester off; you will assist PMs with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, submittal reviews, billing, and on-site visits.

Enrollments in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management programs with a 3.0+ GPA are preferred, along with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management degree program.
• Minimum GPA 3.0 / 4.0.
• Previous internship or co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with estimating project proposals and assigning dollar values.
• Create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand proposals from engineers and architects.
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Fill out permit forms and submit with drawings/fees; await approvals.
• Review shop drawings and submittals; coordinate with PM to begin material orders.
• Handle subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure projects run smoothly.
