Job summary

Law Offices of Ward & Stachurski, PLLC in Michigan seeks a Junior Associate to handle high-value, ethical representation for clients in state and federal courts. The role reports to the Owner and involves litigation, case management, and collaboration with paralegals to manage caseload.

You will perform legal research, draft motions and pleadings, oversee discovery, and ensure timely, professional work product.

Qualifications

• Licensed attorney in Michigan.
• Experience in litigation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for competent provision of legal services including: legal research; drafting motions, pleadings, orders, judgments and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery. The Junior Associate may delegate to Paralegals to accomplish these tasks but remains responsible for ensuring timely and professional completion of the work.
• Represent clients through administrative charges (e.g. EEOC Charge of Discrimination) and provide competent and thorough legal counsel throughout all proceedings.
• Monitor the case pipeline and act as necessary to move cases progressively forward and through the pipeline in accordance with defined milestones.
• Proactively work with the Owner to ensure efficient and effective daily operations of the Firm.
