Job summary

MnDOT seeks a Trainee, Land Surveyor in the Graduate Land Surveyor Program based in District 6 Rochester. The program provides two-year rotations across Construction, Legal Descriptions, Platting, Geodetics, and Right of Way, offering hands-on surveying experience.

Upon successful completion, trainees are promoted to Land Surveyor in Training and permanently assigned to District 6 Surveys in Rochester. Two years of professional surveying experience and FS registration are required to complete

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree in Surveying or closely related field with 22 surveying hours.
• GPA of at least 2.5.
• Valid Class D driver’s license.
