Job summary

DUG in Houston invites aspiring geophysicists to join its world‑leading processing and imaging team as an intern. You’ll learn seismic processing, depth imaging and FWI while contributing to real projects and gaining exposure to our advanced software suite and DUG HPC Cloud.

You will start on an internship basis, with potential long‑term opportunities after completion. You’ll work with geoscientists and clients to grow into a competent Geophysicist and build industry experience in a dynamic,

Qualifications

BSc, MSc or PhD in Geophysics, Geoscience, Physics, Maths, Electrical Engineering with a Physics background, or equivalent.
High level of computer proficiency.
Excellent communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
Organised, attention to detail, and able to produce accurate work.
Motivated to complete assigned responsibilities within set deadlines.
Permanent US Work Authorisation is a mandatory requirement.

Responsibilities

Learn seismic processing and depth imaging concepts within a global environment.
Assist the project team in delivering seismic processing and depth imaging projects.
Develop technical skills through hands-on tasks such as QC and workflow assembly.
Produce QC attributes like RMS maps and horizons.
Run and manage production workflows on company computer system.
Prepare processing reports and documentation.
Comply with HSE regulations and policy.
Assist with other related tasks as assigned by the team leader.
