Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Chantilly, VA area team. The role supports the Project Manager in administrative and technical project tasks, including contract administration, submittals, procurement, budgeting and scheduling.

The successful candidate will assist with preconstruction coordination, bid packages, vendor communication, and project closeout while upholding our safety culture.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred and 4-6 years of experience.
• Solid presentation and verbal/written communication skills.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in managing administrative and technical requirements for construction projects.
• Support contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate preconstruction activities and prepare bid packages and subcontract scopes of work.
• Assist in project closeout and demobilization, ensuring safety and quality compliance.
