Job summary

The City of Irving seeks a qualified professional to oversee and coordinate utility installations and relocations within public rights-of-way, review engineering plans, resolve conflicts, and supervise staff in a full-time capacity.

This role supports the City’s Capital Improvement Program, coordinating with City departments, utility companies, contractors and developers to advance projects on time and within regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and five years of utility coordination or construction management experience.
• Experience including one year of supervisory responsibilities.
• Valid Texas driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate utility installations and relocations within public rights-of-way.
• Review engineering plans and identify and resolve utility conflicts.
• Coordinate capital improvement projects with City departments, utility companies, contractors and developers.
• Review and approve permit applications and oversee inspections for regulatory compliance.
• Monitor project progress and maintain records; supervise assigned personnel.
