Job summary

American Structurepoint, Inc. is seeking a Right of Way Technician in Indianapolis to support land surveying projects. You will work under a Professional Surveyor and contribute to location control, parcel plats, legal descriptions, and plan development.

You will utilize Civil3D, AutoCAD, and GIS tools, with opportunities to grow in boundary and topographic surveys, LiDAR data processing, and public-domain data acquisition.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and technical writing skills are required.
• Familiarity with INDOT Right-of-Way standards is preferred.
• Experience with surveying data interpretation and CAD/GIS tools is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Location Control Route Survey Plats.
• Review title and encumbrance reports.
• Prepare Right of Way Parcel Plats (Exhibit A/B) and Legal Descriptions.
• Prepare additional Right of Way Engineering documents and calculations.
• Develop Right of Way plans.
• Process field data into topographic surveys.
• Analyze records to establish property lines and easements.
• Download LiDAR and GIS data from public sources.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
