Job summary

Gray Hawk Land Solutions is seeking a Right of Way Survey Coordinator for a remote position. You will plan and supervise survey projects, assist in proposals, and monitor schedules across multiple service lines.

Requirements include 5+ years in Right-of-Way with easement negotiations, 3+ years coordinating ROW surveys, and a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent. Proficiency in GIS, Google Earth, and mapping software is expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in the Right-of-Way industry dealing with easement negotiations.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Right-of-Way survey coordination.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma, or High School graduate.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, execute, and supervise general project surveying services.
  • Participate in estimating and formal proposal composition on survey projects for multiple service lines.
  • Review company reports to monitor productivity and maintain project schedules.
  • Supervise, direct, or conduct office analysis to establish tract or parcel boundaries.
  • Establish relationships with surface owners and local government officials and agencies.
  • Negotiate terms for surface agreements, including surface use agreements, pipeline ROW, and easements.
  • Conduct internal and external title research in courthouses with minimal supervision.
  • Interpret drawings and redline where needed (Alignment drawings, permits, and construction drawings).
  • Navigate client databases and conduct online research using MS Office and databases.

Job description

Gray Hawk Land Solutions is currently hiring for the position of a Right of Way Survey Coordinator for aremote role.The individual we are looking for must be a self-starter and able to perform the below tasks with very little or no supervision.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, execute, and supervise general project surveying services.
  • Participate in estimating and formal proposal composition on survey projects for multiple service lines.
  • Review company reports to monitor and measure productivity and maintain project schedules.
  • Supervise, direct, or conduct office analysis to establish tract or parcel boundaries.
  • Establishes and maintains good relationships with surface owners and local government officials and agencies.
  • Represents client and self with professionalism and integrity. Can relate to people from various backgrounds. Can diffuse tense situations quickly.
  • Negotiate terms for surface agreements, including surface use agreements, pipeline rights of way, and easements. Settle surface damages and ensure necessary access to company assets.
  • Thorough understanding of surface use agreements, easements, pipeline ROW, surface titles, and gov't laws/regulations related to Right of Way operations.
  • Able to conduct internal title research and external title research in the courthouse with no supervision.
  • Mapping software experience (GIS, Google Earth, ability to deed plot, ability to learn any client internal mapping systems).
  • Ability to interpret drawings and redline where needed (Alignment drawings, Certified Property Plats, Permit Drawings, Temporary Workspace Drawings, Construction Access Drawings).
  • Ability to navigate multiple client databases.
  • Ability to conduct online research.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer knowledge through effective use of software including Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and database use.
  • Able to work well in a team environment or an individual role.

Education/Experience:

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Right-of-Way industry primarily dealing with negotiations of easements for pipelines; solar experience is a plus but not required.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Right-of-Way survey coordination.

Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma, or High School graduate.
