Job summary

Gray Hawk Land Solutions is seeking a Right of Way Survey Coordinator for a remote role. The candidate must be a self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision and coordinating survey activities for pipelines and related projects.

Responsibilities include planning, organizing, and supervising surveying services; participating in estimating and proposals; reviewing reports; maintaining project schedules; negotiating easements and surface use agreements; and conducting title research and

Qualifications

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Right-of-Way industry, primarily dealing with negotiations of easements for pipelines.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Right-of-Way survey coordination.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma, or High School graduate.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, execute, and supervise general project surveying services.
  • Participate in estimating and formal proposal composition on survey projects for multiple service lines.
  • Review company reports to monitor and measure productivity and maintain project schedules.
  • Supervise, direct, or conduct office analysis to establish tract or parcel boundaries.
  • Establishes and maintains good relationships with surface owners and local government officials and agencies.
  • Negotiate terms for surface agreements, including surface use agreements, pipeline rights of way, and easements.
  • Thorough understanding of surface use agreements, easements, pipeline ROW, surface titles, and gov't laws/regulations related to Right of Way operations.
  • Able to conduct internal title research and external title research in the courthouse with no supervision.
  • Mapping software experience (GIS, Google Earth, ability to deed plot, ability to learn any client internal mapping systems).
  • Ability to interpret drawings and redline where needed (Alignment drawings, Certified Property Plats, Permit Drawings, Temporary Workspace Drawings, Construction Access Drawings).
  • Ability to navigate multiple client databases.
  • Ability to conduct online research.
  • Demonstrate excellent computer knowledge through effective use of software including Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel) and database use.
  • Able to work well in a team environment or an individual role.

Gray Hawk Land Solutions is currently hiring for the position of a Right of Way Survey Coordinator for a remote role. The individual we are looking for must be a self-starter and able to perform the below tasks with very little or no supervision.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, execute, and supervise general project surveying services.
  • Participate in estimating and formal proposal composition on survey projects for multiple service lines.
  • Review company reports to monitor and measure productivity and maintain project schedules.
  • Supervise, direct, or conduct office analysis to establish tract or parcel boundaries.
  • Establishes and maintains good relationships with surface owners and local government officials and agencies.
  • Represents client and self with professionalism and integrity. Can relate to people from various backgrounds. Can diffuse tense situations quickly.
  • Negotiate terms for surface agreements, including surface use agreements, pipeline rights of way, and easements. Settle surface damages and ensure necessary access to company assets.
  • Thorough understanding of surface use agreements, easements, pipeline ROW, surface titles, and gov't laws/regulations related to Right of Way operations.
  • Able to conduct internal title research and external title research in the courthouse with no supervision.
  • Mapping software experience (GIS, Google Earth, ability to deed plot, ability to learn any client internal mapping systems).

Education/Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the Right-of-Way industry primarily dealing with negotiations of easements for pipelines; solar experience is a plus but not required. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Right-of-Way survey coordination.
