MnDOT is seeking a right-of-way specialist to assist in preparing legal descriptions for property acquisitions and dispositions across multiple projects. You will review maps and plats to ensure accuracy and act as a technical advisor to staff in districts throughout the department.

Precise descriptions are needed to support the Department’s Program Delivery schedule. A two-year Civil or Construction Technology degree or four-year degrees in Architecture, Civil, Mechanical Engineering, Land

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in right-of-way or related activities OR 3 years plus 1 year in surveys, design, road maintenance, materials/soils, permits, etc.
• Must read, write, speak English proficiently and communicate with staff and public.
• Substitution: 2-year degree or 4-year degree may substitute for one year of experience. Transcript submission may be required.

• Assist in preparing legal descriptions for property acquisitions and dispositions.
• Review maps and plats relative to legal descriptions needs.
• Serve as technical advisor to staff across districts and department.
• Provide accurate, precise descriptions supporting the Program Delivery schedule.
