Job summary

Town of Marana is seeking a Right-of-Way Inspector to work in the CIP Division of the Public Works Department. This full-time role provides inspections for public infrastructure projects and offers a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Over three years in a related field.
• ATSSA Traffic Control certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Valid Arizona Driver License.
• Must complete a pre-employment physical.
• Must complete both Town of Marana background check and motor vehicle records check.

Responsibilities

• Performs compliance inspections for duration of the permit; issues permit extensions and noncompliance notices.
• Routes permits through review process with stakeholders; identifies all applicable fees and requirements for routine permits.
• Reviews construction plans and approves routine traffic control plans.
• Assesses site conditions and proposed improvements; evaluates plans for conflicts; establishes project-specific permit conditions.
• Performs permit closeout and warranty inspections; reviews materials and tests data for compliance; issues closeout letters; assists Operations and Maintenance with warranty inspections.
