Turn field expertise into safer performance. TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is looking for an accomplished rigging professional who knows how to teach the craft—not just explain it. In this role, you will use real-world experience, technical standards, and hands‑on coaching to help employees build sound judgment, reliable technique, and confidence on the jobsite.

Role Overview

As a full-time member of the Training Department, the Rigging Trainer plans, delivers, and evaluates technical and safety training across multiple business units. You will lead classrooms, hands‑on, and blended learning; demonstrate correct rigging practices; assess practical performance; and give clear, actionable coaching. You will connect rigging fundamentals, lift preparation, equipment inspection, hazard recognition, communication, and safe execution to the realities of field work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on instruction in rigging practices, equipment selection and use, inspection, hazard recognition, lift preparation, communication, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Model correct techniques, observe participants during practical exercises, evaluate performance consistently, and coach learners toward safe, repeatable work habits.
  • Coordinate training schedules with hiring, qualification, certification, refresher, and operational needs across multiple business units.
  • Maintain accurate training, certification, and qualification records, document learner progress, and communicate results to appropriate leaders.
  • Partner with operations, safety, and leadership to validate course content, address performance gaps, and incorporate jobsite lessons.
  • Manage competing priorities, frequent travel, and changing operational demands while maintaining a high standard of instruction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
  • At least five years of rigging experience, with the field credibility to explain both what the standard requires and how to apply it safely.
  • Experience delivering technical or safety training to riggers, operators, and other craft professionals.
  • Working knowledge of applicable ASME, OSHA, MSHA, federal, state, and provincial requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Ability to demonstrate rigging concepts and evaluate practical performance with consistency, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, written communication, verbal communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage in small and large groups with varied experience levels.
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office and learning technologies that support instruction and knowledge management.
  • A self‑directed, collaborative approach and the flexibility to teach outside a traditional classroom.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • NCCCO or NCCER instructor certification; relevant rigger, signalperson, crane, or training credentials are also valued.
  • CCCO Rig2 and/or NCCER Advanced Rigger
  • Experience with apprenticeship, certification, and qualification programs.
  • Knowledge of related training programs such as MEWPs, powered industrial trucks, and fall protection.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and experiential instruction.

If you are ready to turn years of rigging experience into practical instruction that strengthens safety, skill, and confidence across the workforce, we invite you to bring your expertise to TNT Crane & Rigging.
