Vertiv is seeking a Team Coordinator to assist the supervisor in a manufacturing area, ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks and filling in positions as needed. You will help identify shortages, facilitate Lean Manufacturing processes, and coordinate with engineers and managers on non-personnel issues.
The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, learning all positions, and maintaining safe, efficient operations across shifts as required.
POSITION SUMMARY The Team Coordinator assists the supervisor in the operation of an area of a department so that the Supervisor may increase focus on the people in the area and not be as involved in daily specific workflow issues. The Team Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring continuous production flow by relieving bottlenecks within the department, filling in positions as needed, identifying part/resource shortages, and finding solutions and/or notifying Supervisors that solutions are needed, facilitating implementation of Lean Manufacturing processes, and requesting non-personnel related assistance of other departments by completing work orders and requesting engineering and SFA assistance. May be required to do other reasonable manufacturing duties as assigned.
Primarily conducts Team Coordinator tasks in assigned department and may be used in other departments for the Anderson facilities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Able to lift between 50 and 100 pounds assisted. able to learn to work with all hand tools required of all positions within the area, including general work tools, pneumatic and hydraulic tools, brazing and wiring tools and equipment, forklifts, etc. Able to effectively direct the flow of others. Able to foster teamwork and resolve conflict. Able to work long hours and a variety of shits as needed. Able to learn and utilize materials tracking system.
Ability to work in an environment with temperatures occasionally above 100 degrees or below 32 degrees.
10% May need to travel when appropriate depending on product line needs.
